Calgary’s biggest playdate of the year, the Calgary International Children’s Festival, presented by Qualico Communities, will be held May 19-23, 2009, in and around the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts. The Children's Festival is the third largest Festival of its kind in North America and boasts a diverse line-up of theatre, music, dance, puppetry and more. It is a performing arts experience for the whole family with over 100 performances and workshops presented by some of the world’s best from France, Brazil, Italy, Denmark and Canada. Don't miss the Festival's headline presentation of MacHomer as Canada’s Rick Miller recreates the voices of more than 50 characters from the iconic TV series, The Simpsons, in a hilarious retelling of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. This is a special Festival headline presentation (reserved seating and special pricing) that runs for one night only, Friday, May 22, 2009 at 8pm at the Jack Singer Concert Hall in the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts. MACHOMER is for ages 12 to adult.
