Started in 1912, the Calgary Stampede is an outdoor agricultural fair and rodeo held every July at Stampede Park in Calgary. It features livestock shows and sales, a midway, live concerts, parades, arts and crafts exhibitions, and the world famous Calgary Stampede Rodeo.
The 2008 Calgary Stampede will be held from July 3-13, 2008. The kick-off to Stampede is the parade, which will be on Friday, July 4. Most downtown offices give either the morning or the full day off to their employees.

Senior (65 & over)- $7.00
Child (7 to 12 yrs of age)- $7.00
Child (6 & under)- FREE
Separate admission for Calgary Stampede Rodeo, Chuckwagon Races, and Grandstand evening shows. These are available at Ticketmaster.
