Rider at the Stampede Rodeo

Started in 1912, the Calgary Stampede is an outdoor agricultural fair and rodeo held every July at Stampede Park in Calgary. It features livestock shows and sales, a midway, live concerts, parades, arts and crafts exhibitions, and the world famous Calgary Stampede Rodeo.

The 2010 Calgary Stampede will be held from July 9-18, 2010. The kick-off to Stampede is the parade, which will be on Friday, July 4. Most downtown offices give either the morning or the full day off to their employees.
