Expo Latino is held the last weekend in August, at Prince's Island Park, hosted by the Hispanic Arts Society. Expo Latino 2010 will take place August 27, 28 & 29. Events include live music, food fair, children's area and a beer gardens. Admission is $10 daily and $15 for the weekend. This years headliners include P.R.O Trio featuring Pavlo, Rik Emmett and Oscar Lopez along with returning favorite Wil Campa Orchestra from Cuba. Expo Laitno is also proud to present many local talent on our mainstage as well as a salsa showcase!
In June 1987, the Hispanic Arts Society registered as a non-profit organization in pursuit of recognition and exposure for local Latin acts.
In 1996 Expo Latino was born. After 13 years, Expo Latino will once again be entertaining thousands at Prince’s Island Park. The addition of a larger dance floor, a children’s area and an increase in the number of vendors promises to make Expo Latino 2010 an unforgettable year. There will be something for everyone young and old to enjoy this year. Expo Latino remains the liveliest festival the city has to offer because we appeal to every age group.
